Ah, the slightly crowded Maddox Department Store. No matter what time you came to the store it always seemed busy. People walking about in a hurry and bumping into each other without a nice word. If you had time to watch them all scurry about they would remind you of rodents. However, if you knew how to move through the mob that ran around in the store. You could get the stuff you needed and wait in line to leave without being pushed or shoved. Kaori sort of made an art of this. Dodging the people in the store as she made her way to an aisle that had the treat she was searching for. She didn't liked to be yelled at, so she made a game out of swaying in and out of the crowds. If she did bump into someone she would have to get Kuda an extra treat. And, she hated to lose a game to Kuda.
She almost danced her way to aisle number seven. It was the only aisle they kept all the Chinese and Japanese food in. Well, the food was a knock off the real stuff, but she didn't care much. With her little hand held basket, she started to dump the tofu, Japanese noodles, and sauces she need into the basket. Kuda made a appearance as she was just throwing stuff in, "Pay attention to what your doing." Kaori looked at her front blue jean pocket that held a bamboo flute, "Tis not a lot, so shush." Kuda rolled his little blue eyes at his mistress. Kaori almost the shelve clean off when she stopped and looked at the basket and mess on the floor. "Hmm, we need green onions and fruit", she became her way to the vegetables and fruits while Kuda tried to keep his home in Kaori's pocket.
With her basket full, she started to throw some vegetables and fruits into the basket. Humming all the while as if nothing was wrong. However, people were starting to stare at her as she was drawing attention to herself as usual. Kuda went to speak up again, but he saw Kaori was in her own little world. He signed and illusioned the food on the floor away. He didn't need her to be kicked out of another store. Once Kaori was done she skipped her way to the chip aisle and started doing the same thing she did before.
When she was done shopping for food. She dodged her way to clothes and looked for a shirt that would match her light blue tank top. She didn't bother going to a changing room to try on the shirts there. She just set her basket over full of food down and started to up and take off shirts. Her light purple hair was up in a pony tail so it was out of her way as she played dress up. Again, people started to stare at her and she didn't notice once more. Don't you think you need another job to pay for all of this stuff?", she stopped to ponder what Kuda said. "Nope, I'll just make money appear.", she giggled and winked at Kuda. Kuda looked at Kaori dishearteningly and went back into the bamboo flute.
